PRP Injections

  • What does PRP mean?

PRP stands for "Platelet Rich Plasma". This is retrieved by drawing blood from an individual and that blood is spun down with a centrifugation process. After this process only enriched (PRP) cells remain, they are then injected back into the skin. PRP is used to speed up the healing process to aid in damaged or injured tissue.
  • How can PRP be used?

Here at Body Beautiful Spa, we can use PRP injections in place of dermal fillers for patients seeking facial improvement results in a natural form. PRP injections use your body's own healing responses to treat damaged tissue and stimulate collagen in areas needing improvement.

We also can use PRP in place of serums to retrieve better results in Micro Needling treatments. In our Micro Pen treatment tiny micro injuries are created in the skin's surface and PRP is placed on to the skin to stimulate collagen and healing responses. PRP is enriched with growth factors and proteins, maximizing your results with any procedure.
  • PRP for hair restoration

Here at Body Beautiful Spa we will first have you come in for a consultation to meet with Dr. Buermann and insure you are a candidate for PRP hair restoration injections. We will then schedule you to come in for a 90 minute appointment. During your appointment our doctor or medical assistant will sterilize the area and draw blood from your arm. Once that is retrieved the vile of blood is placed in a centrifugation system to be spun down so that only enriched platelet rich plasma remains. The PRP will then be injected into the scalp to treat the area needing improvement. The PRP then works to activate healing responses and stimulate hair growth in the treated area over time.
  • How many treatments will I need?

Most patients will see improvement in about 1-3 treatments (For Hair 2-5 treatments) Treatments should be about 4-6 weeks apart for the best results. Each patient has their own unique case and in some situations more treatments will be needed.
